ReplyDeleteThe non-stop cycle of remakes seems all the more pointless with the latter versions adding no memorable elements or improvements to or by their predecessors. The only one of those remakes which compares somewhat favorably to the original was Fright Night, and that was mostly due to Colin Farrell. Still, it doesn't remotely hold a light to - with the particularly mordant sense of humor, the more genuinely earned jolts - the original.
