let's dance!
Here are some memorable dance scenes from 80s flicks. Which one is your favorite?
"Hungry Eyes" - Dirty Dancing
"(I've Had) the Time of My Life - Dirty Dancing
"Love is Strange" - Dirty Dancing
"Flashdance... What A Feeling" - Flashdance
White Knights!
Fame!
"Hot Lunch Jam" - Fame
"Danke Schoen" / "Twist & Shout" - Ferris Bueller's Day Off
"Shake a Tailfeather" - The Blues Brothers
"Day-O" - Beetlejuice
"Let's Hear it For the Boy" - Footloose
"Never" - Footloose
"It's Madison Time" - Hairspray
The Breakfast Club
If you're going to die in a Friday the 13th film, you might as well bust out some robotic dance moves beforehand.
Xanadu!
"Ain't Too Proud to Beg" - The Big Chill
"Jamaica Ska" - Back to the Beach
Oh, either Ferris Bueller or Breakfast Club, though I did used to practice the lift from Dirty Dancing (who didn't?)
ReplyDeleteSO HARD TO CHOOSE! It's between "I've Had the Time of My Life" and Kevin Bacon's seizure-ific dance moves and gymnastics in "Never" but Dirty Dancing wins the battle, indefinitely.
ReplyDeleteXanadu!
ReplyDeleteI have to say the "White Nights" sequence is something that still stops me, to this day. Baryshnikov and Hines? It doesn't get much better than that. "Flashdance" is gorgeous and "The Big Chill" of course! I love these selections! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletedirty dancing, dirty dancing!! i've had the time of my life. although i do love the scene when they're in johnny's cabin and dance to cry to me. love.
